What are Commonwealth Scholarships in the UK?

Commonwealth Scholarships are awarded to talented individuals with the potential to make a positive impact on the global stage. Commonwealth Scholarships are managed by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the UK. As part of the UK’s ongoing commitment to the Commonwealth, each year, around 700 students are given the chance to undertake postgraduate degrees with UK universities. If you are from a Commonwealth country and believe you could make a difference in the world but you can’t afford to fund your UK studies on your own, then you could be the ideal candidate for a Commonwealth Scholarship. What are Commonwealth Scholarships? Commonwealth Scholarships are aimed at students from across the Commonwealth who would not otherwise be able to afford to study in the UK. By funding postgraduate studies in a range of different study formats, the scheme helps to support future innovators and leaders. U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday dialled Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a social media post, PM Modi said, like Mr. Trump, he is also “fully” committed to taking the India-U.S. Comprehensive and Global Partnership to “new heights”. Thank you, my friend, President Trump, for your phone call and warm greetings on my 75th birthday,” the Prime Minister said. Like you, I am also fully committed to taking the India-U.S. Comprehensive and Global Partnership to new heights,” he said. “We support your initiatives towards a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict,” he added. Mr. Trump’s call to wish PM Modi on his birthday came a day before the Prime Minister’s 75th birthday. “Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job. Narendra: Thank you for your support on ending the War between Russia and Ukraine!” he posted on Truth Social. Mr. Trump signed off the message with “President DJT”, underscoring its personal tone. Even though India is a huge market and a countr...

India-US Ties: Modi reciprocates trump’s positive assessment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday (September 6, 2025) that India and the U.S. have a “very positive and forward-looking” relationship, his first such statement since ties between the two countries nosedived over trade, tariffs and Operation Sindoor. Quoting remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, who had said on Friday (September 5, 2025) that India and the U.S. have a “special relationship”, and had praised Mr. Modi and their friendship, the Prime Minister said on X that he “deeply appreciated and fully reciprocated” the comments.  India-US Ties: Modi reciprocates trump’s positive assessment. Significantly, the two leaders, who met warmly in February shortly after Mr. Trump was sworn-in, have not spoken directly to each other since a telephone call on June 17, after which India-U.S. trade talks broke down and the U.S. declared 25% tariffs on Indian goods, along with a 25% penalty for India’s purchase of Russian oil. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who is sched...

CHINA, THE NEW GLOBAL SUPERPOWER.

The tariffs currently imposed by the United States are pushing India closer to Russia and China. The root cause of this lies in the hegemonic outlook of the Brahmin class—a point clearly reflected in Peter Navarro’s statements. Given that India is one of the world’s largest markets, it is unlikely that America will be able to maintain such heavy tariffs for long. Yet by pursuing this course of action, Washington is effectively striking a blow against its own interests. If the U.S. seeks to maintain a firm presence in the Indian market, it must develop a deep understanding of Indian society, along with its cultural and historical contexts. What America truly needs today is the perspective of an Indian sociologist, capable of carefully unraveling this complex reality. On the other hand, China’s humanitarian and holistic approach to development seems likely to push India forward. It will not take long for China to gain access to the Indian market. Unlike the way the Brahmin el...

Cast and Varna system in India.

In the Indian social system, you cannot live as a human being simply as a human. An Indian remains confined only within his caste. His economic, social, educational, and cultural formation, as well as his emotional development, are shaped within caste and are destroyed there as well. Whatever collective feeling should exist as a nation or as a society can never truly develop. Why does such dreadful inequality exist? Because it is based on the caste system. The creation of this system was not only to exploit and reduce competition for the benefit of the Brahmin community, but also to ensure that, even though a person possesses ability, skill, and willpower, he remains trapped within his caste or is forced to work only in that sphere. Most importantly, if you show willpower and try to break the caste system, the system confuses you. It makes you believe you can achieve everything, but in reality, you cannot—because you cannot change your emotions, nor can you detach from your rela...
